Best start in 7 years. Moses, Payet, Noble, all of them. I'll tell you what - how many Croatian forwards were massive blokes - Boksic, et al were all big fellas but they were skilled. Watch Slaven transform Carroll into a skillful centre forward. He'll have a twilight career that will include England with Slav.

I have seen the best over many years and I reckon that team tonight was about 70% of what it will be - it was pretty useful tonight too
Our defence looks really solid, shit hot solid with Tomkins at RB.
Payet is a gem of course but the single most exciting thought is that bench and squad offers more than I ever remember, and that is fucking years......

We'll probably still get beat at Citeh but it's nice to know that Bilic will at least set up to give it a go.
Under the fat cunt we would be looking to draw 0-0...he even fucking done it when we were safe and had a chance to stop Citeh winning the league on the last game of the season the other year. It was shit like that which was destroying what West Ham are about for me.

Afraid I never saw that, youngest I can remember we had redknapp, kept getting glimpses of a good defence then would get broken up, and our best defenders never properly replaced

Fluke, this is the way we played all the time until the dark days. In the late 50's when we came up from the 2nd Division for the first time in 20 odd years, we came up with a team that scored something like 110 odd goals. Our full backs scored more than most forwards. The pundits said at the time, 'the world is black and white, but West Ham play in colour'.

I've never seen a West Ham like this before, we had a good attacking team when I was growing up, but a dodgy defence, normally full of ageing journeymen looking for a last pay packet, this team would beat any i can remember

Bilic listens to what the fans want.
He will not always get it right but he wants more than just points, he wants the fans to leave enthralled excited and most of all happy.
I think he likes more than anything to learn about a club and its traditions which big Sam simply did not try to do.
